What I Can Do for You

Making a special request isn’t something I plan to do when I start selling. But later on, after making so many and dealing with more customers, I found out that custom design is a necessary service for you.

These are the things I have done so far to custom to your ideas..

1. You might like the style but it’s not your favorite color: I would be more than happy to give you options of the hues.  Usually what works is you choose one of the color option you really want, and I manage to match the rest of the complexion.

My friend Jeny request to have the below Celtic earrings on this post in Topaz instead of Vert.   I love how it turned out honestly and never have thought to have this color combination put together. so, Thank’s Jen!

2.  “One is not enough, I want the matching necklace/bracelet/earrings that goes with it”: Still on Jeny, she works in an office environment where everybody is expected to wear business casual, so a variety pendant could go so conveniently with her formal outfit. So here it is!  She can wear it just the pendant with her own white gold chain necklace, it drops down perfectly a little bit above her clevage and it’d hang so cute inside her formal jacket.  Or wear both earrings and pendant while going to a party.

Hera also had somewhat the same idea, she just absolutely love Dusty Pearl earrings from this post and want me to make a matching necklace. She wore it to her daughter’s graduation (she’s graduating from pre-school by the way) with her violet outfit, spot the photo on her facebook. Absolutely stunning!

3. “I like this style in that color”:  You probably already notice that Jeny really know what she wants as far as designs and style. It is as if she design her own.  I love to listen to my customers because with that I most of the time get more ideas to develop.  This time she love the idea of two pendant dropping down like this style, but want to have the crystal of  Green Stupa (the second photo from this post) And this is how it turned out. She loves it!

4. “I just love your earrings, but it’s way too long for me”: It’s alright. I can make it shorter.  Like this one below, the original length is 8 cm.

P5180512ok

As per request, I shorten it to 5 cm. Actually it turned out better!

P5290044med

5. You might have a dress but not sure how to accessorize it:  Maybe you have traditional sari, cheong sam, or kebaya, or even too plain party dress to wear to a special occasion. Bring it on, I’ll be more than happy to work something out for you.

Rosary Pendant

Still on the Rosary topic.. I am sharing you my best seller Y necklace favorite of all time..  Below are the sarang (metal ball with hole texture) and pearl combination in Magenta. Good thing about this pendant is that you can separate it from the strand necklace and replace it with your favorite white gold necklace.

Starting off with the sarang design, then indigo blue, then olive, the same styles with different color and crystals combination.  It moves forward as the personable requests start to come in. Now the last is black and silver a request from Dany and Ratih, this is also my favorite from above all.

Black Rosary

I had an idea from my friend, Mela, to make her a black rosary long necklace. I showed her a couple of serious rosary I browsed on the internet and none of it fits her style.  She doesn’t want anything with prayer points and counting beads. So I guess what you want is just a black Y long necklace (at least it’s how me and my friends calls it). So here it is…

The length drops down a little bit below your belly button, so yes you can twist them so it is shorter.   Or have a request to shorten it to 45 or 50 cm so it drops down to your chest.  I add more fashionable black and white pearl, This necklace is bigger and heavier to wear, with more color and fuller style.  The black diamond shape at the end of the necklace is a black handmade glass beads I bought in Bali last year.

I have posted the photo here on my facebook so not only Mela could make a choice but also the other girls.

Still Life

Growing this business with a pure self-learning skill, I learn to evolve my knowledge along with the trend.  Finding inspiration from a successful designer is one, but observing is another thing that I find easier to adapt.   I love to collect things every now and then, I love looking at things and try to think of ways how it would look like if that thing wears jewelry or being captured with the jewelry.  To give different angle to what jewelry is or perhaps a sense of still life in a way..

This is Lime natural rocks Y necklace in vintage brass metal.  It is hanging at the neck of reuse label-stripped-off Evian glass bottle.

Sarang Earrings with Purple Crystals photographed with miniature object.  This french-style chair miniature has been with me since I was 10 years old, you perhaps can see the vintage effect on this porcelain chair.

Dangling earrings in milky sapphire tone crystal, roughly around 8mm in diameter.  I set up a blue cloud background to give “heavenly” effect.

As if this bracelet is a hang-dry wet laundry. This is one of my favorite color, not only it shines but also it resemblance the color of a happy sky, match with the background.

On the dried rose. I have a mini rose plant on my front garden and when it blooms I cut them and put them in the middle of the living room until it dried they become a potpourri.  Didn’t realize that it would turn out good as I worry that the background will be too overcrowded with the dried petals, thorns and bushes, but seriously it blends perfectly. Pearl and Rose.

This is off-white pearl, very demure and sophisticated, I had set the background from inside of a novel title Man and Boy by Tony Parson, the book I am currently reading.

and Ian, the Ironing Board (not sure what role he’s on), he’s the strongest though, can you see  he’s down there  supporting Amber to hold the long earrings?

p5200710

Picture above is Amber and Sue try to support my long convertible gold necklace.  Oh I know I don’t do this usually but, I can’t help it, they’re too cute not to have their own names.  And I love them as much as I love my jewelries.

Photo props

Over the weekend I visited an international furniture and Craft fair.  The innocent initial idea was first to visit a friend who were exhibiting, but I got more than just sightseeing.  I got such a lot of inspiration as far as interior design, wood variety, and furniture styles.  It is amazing how much Indonesia has provide such a lot of variety of woods, not only teak and rattan, but also the woods from the Durian and Mango tree.

Going home I found these two stuff

P3170564

On the left is a pen holder made out of my favorite marble, champagne with a golden fiber, and the cover is made out of aluminum.  I am not so sure if it’s pen holder, toothbrush holder, or an ashtray.  On the right is a container shape like an egg, made out of clay (I think).

And the base are 5 kinds of rocks for outdoor decoration I got for free from this store, one of the exhibitor.  At the beginning I wanted to buy from them, but then they said it’s not for sale, and they told me that I can get it for free if I come to pick up by the end of the exhibition. So I did came.  They have pretty good stuff, my girlfriend bought three of their straw bags, and I bought a 32×40x25 straw container. Apart from Jewelry, I’m also crazy about container.

So today, guess what I use the all of the above items.
