And here is my own personal light box..

P1310097v1 I shoot with three lights, in Cool Daylight shades, 23 watts, 18 watts, and 21 watts. On three sides: left, right, and above. One of the result is here.

And here..

P1310087v This is my camera case (I’m using Olympus FE-190 6.0 megapixel) I bought last September in Bali. I love it so much I bought like a dozen of them, I keep two and the rest I gave them away for each one of my girlfriends. They love it too!

If it’s not bright enough, I edit it with Picasa, you can download it here,

http://picasa.google.com/

What I like about Picasa is not only it’s for free, but you can also store your file in their web album, and then for me who aren’t so good at using the technique, it has “I’m feeling lucky” button I use it all the time.

Above are the difference. Sometimes it won’t work because it would enhance the shadow rather than the highlight, but it works most of the time.

Below are the result of my experiment..

Photo props

Over the weekend I visited an international furniture and Craft fair.  The innocent initial idea was first to visit a friend who were exhibiting, but I got more than just sightseeing.  I got such a lot of inspiration as far as interior design, wood variety, and furniture styles.  It is amazing how much Indonesia has provide such a lot of variety of woods, not only teak and rattan, but also the woods from the Durian and Mango tree.

Going home I found these two stuff

P3170564

On the left is a pen holder made out of my favorite marble, champagne with a golden fiber, and the cover is made out of aluminum.  I am not so sure if it’s pen holder, toothbrush holder, or an ashtray.  On the right is a container shape like an egg, made out of clay (I think).

And the base are 5 kinds of rocks for outdoor decoration I got for free from this store, one of the exhibitor.  At the beginning I wanted to buy from them, but then they said it’s not for sale, and they told me that I can get it for free if I come to pick up by the end of the exhibition. So I did came.  They have pretty good stuff, my girlfriend bought three of their straw bags, and I bought a 32×40x25 straw container. Apart from Jewelry, I’m also crazy about container.

So today, guess what I use the all of the above items.

I don’t even know how to begin..

But let’s begin anyway.

I honestly haven’t made up my mind on why and what I should put in this blog. It would be very boring if I would just post series of my jewelry photo without knowing the drama behind it, wouldn’t it? Wouldn’t it very boring also if I keep on talking about myself and nothing to give to the world.

This for start…

I post my two first product at my Etsy store.

P3050461

the first is “Sky is the Limit” at the previous post, and this one is “Mermaid”

After convo with Beadsforpeace and brightenUp about shipping and handling, I’ve finally made up my mind about this matter. Deciding upon these can be very tricky, and I am grateful that there are etsian friends who are willing to help for information, I can email them in my mother tongue, since they both also came from Jakarta.

I will try to post more tomorrow and search good angle on my gorgeous babies…

until then, good night…

Sky is the Limit

P3050516 P3050508

P3050511 P3050506

I present you my first product on sale at our new store at etsy.

144 cm or 56 1/2 inch long necklace. I name it Sky is the Limit because of the color. You can wear this necklace two-folds by wearing it short to your neck and let the other fold lies down to your chest. or three-folds and let it all fall on your chest. I personally love to wear it on my wrist and use it as a big redundant bracelet.

Made out of the synchronize color with different material: synthethic pearl, marshmallow beads, turquoise beads, plastic candy, glass beads, and natural pebbles-rock. There is a small lobster findings to convenient you. If you want to have this bracelet to have two findings let me know, that way you can have two bracelet and have the option to wear one and shorter.  The metallurgy material I am using is the rhodium plated.

For your reference, I also made something similar like this, although not using the similar beads, in lime green, purple, pink, and indigo. Let me know if you want to see anyone of the other color.

I have sold a couple of these, convertible items are demanded more than ever. I have only 2 left, and I keep one for myself.

Turquoise Necklace

P2260352

Still inspired by the Turquoise, this piece is my collection.  Fresh water pearl and Swarovski crystals in a heart shape and butterfly shape. Mother of pearl, creme color gemstone, and bigger piece of turquoise beads, and a natural beads shape like a tear drop at the front detail.  This necklace lies 45cm long with 5 cm adjuster for those who like to wear it longer.  Small lobster claw and basic material is Rhodium plated.
